The Toronto SCRABBLE® Club (National SCRABBLE® Association Club #3) hosts two tournaments annually: a Local Club Tournament on the last three Wednesday evenings of June and an open tournament on a weekend in September.
In 1998, our September tournament was renamed the Michael Wise Memorial SCRABBLE® Tournament in memory of Mike Wise, who served as the Club's Director from 1976 until his death in 1998.
Many Toronto players are also involved in the annual Kingston Cup match, which pits Toronto players against Montreal players, and the Canadian National SCRABBLE® Championship.
In 2005, we inaugurated a Toronto vs. Mississauga interclub match.
In 2006, we held a Toronto SCRABBLE Open and Human vs. Computer Showdown, and will hold another one in 2011.
In 2009 and 2010, we held a Great Canadian SCRABBLE Tournament as part of the Great Canadian Game Show.
In 2010, we held a Summer SCRABBLE Showdown as part of FanExpo Canada.
